Edna H. Russo, CLU
PresidentThe President of PlanConnect®, Edie Russo, has extensive experience working with 403(b) and 457(b) plans. She joined AXA Equitable in 1985 and is a member of the Retirement Benefits Group (RBG), where she manages the Regulatory & Technical Management department. Before coming to AXA Equitable, she was a manager in the group pension underwriting/contract development team at Prudential Financial, Inc., where she focused on product development, sales support, and plan document preparation for 401(a), 401(k), and 403(b) markets.
As a Vice President of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company and AXA Professionals, LLC., her primary responsibilities have included:
- Training RBG members and AXA Professionals financial professionals in the regulations and requirements of IRS Code sections 403(b), 457(b), and 401(a), as well as in AXA Equitable’s relevant retirement plan products
- Coordination of 403(b), 457(b), and 401(a) product development with AXA Equitable’s product management, legal, administrative, and IT departments
- Participation in key industry groups related to these markets
- Edie’s industry participation includes:
- National Tax Sheltered Accounts Association (NTSAA); member of the Leadership Council and Industry Sponsor
- American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA); member of Government Affairs Committee and Co-Chair of the Tax-Exempt/Government Plans Sub-committee
- Society of Professional Asset-Managers and Record Keepers (SPARK); member of the Industry Sponsor/Leadership Group and 403(b) Task Force
- Group Annuity/Pension Compliance Association (GAPCA), member of the Executive Committee
