Susan Lavallee, ACS
Chief Executive OfficerSue LaVallee has over 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. She has managed various life and annuity administrative areas as well as numerous strategic corporate projects. Sue’s areas of expertise include variable annuity contract and life policy administration, policy creation and implementation, call center and customer relationship management, human resource management, and team building.
Sue is a Senior Vice President of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company where she has served since 2005 as the head of AXA Equitable’s EQUI-VEST® administration offices, which provide services to more than 20 thousand active 403(b), 457(b), 401(a), SEP, SAR-SEP, and Simple plans, and more than one million in-force contracts. Sue’s oversight responsibilities have included:
- Issuance of new plans and contracts, with more than 65 thousand contracts issued annually
- All in-force administration, including almost 8 million transactions and in excess of $2 billion in contributions annually
- Call center management, handling more than 500 thousand calls annually from plan sponsors, plan participants, and AXA financial professionals
- Procedure development and the training of AXA Equitable professionals who administer all aspects of the plan sponsored markets
- SAS70 control procedure development and compliance testing with an outside auditing firm
- Business and system support, which includes the development of system change requirements and system testing
- SOX 404 control procedure development and compliance testing
- Providing assistance for audits by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the State of New York
Sue has coordinated written procedures, training, and system changes needed to comply with the rules and regulations set forth by the SEC, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and Replacement Regulation 60, as well as sections 403(b), 457(b), and 401(a) of the IRS Code. Sue has coordinated procedures and system changes needed to support AXA Equitable’s products offered for retirement plans.
She is a graduate of Cazenovia College, is a Series 6 & 26 FINRA Registered Principal, and holds the Associate of Customer Service (ACS) professional designation.
